This guide is designed as a resource for pilgrims and groups to use preparing for their time in Rome and Assisi.  While not every site is covered here, those with the most profound history and significance to the Roman Catholic faith are highlighted.  The text is meant to present the history and traditions of the Churches and sites notated in the guide.  Commentary is based on the notated sites in the bibliography at the end.
