Communication in Healthcare (CSSD and OR‪)‬

Sterile Processing staff must have knowledge of the Operating Theatre where they work. It will give them insights into the importance of what they do everyday. 

This book will give them information about the OR and its daily routine.

In order to maintain efficient service delivery, the OR should be informed of any delays or unavailability of sterile items in CSSD. 

Furthermore,  CSSD should be notified of case cancelations or additions so that requirements will be available on time. 

This will prevent disruptions in the OR, surgeon frustration, and ensure positive patient outcomes.
