Corrupt

New psychological thriller "Corrupt" exposes the detective who decided guilt before the evidence did.

A gripping new novella from acclaimed thriller writer Luke Mitchell, explores what happens when the person meant to protect the vulnerable becomes the danger herself.

Corrupt follows Detective Sergeant Victoria Pines, a respected officer in Lincolnshire Police's Vulnerable Persons unit, whose deep-rooted distrust of men - forged in a chaotic childhood - hardens, over a nineteen year career, into a quiet, devastating pattern of professional sabotage. Told partly from a police cell as her own arrest unfolds, and partly through the eyes of men whose lives she reshaped, the novella traces Victoria's path from a difficult childhood in Boston, Lincolnshire to the moment he certainty finally convicts an entirely innocent man - and the years it takes the truth to catch up with her.
