Great read, love all the books.
The best Slater brother yet!
It’s no secret that I’ve been a super, crazy fan of LA Casey for a few years now and from that first time I dived into Dominic’s book I’ve been in love with Damien Slater and I’ve been waiting with barely contained excitement ever since to read his story. But I could never have expected or hoped for the pure perfection of this novel.
To all the rest of you nerds that have been just dying to read Damien since you discovered the Slater Brothers series (like I have), then I am beyond thrilled to announce that it was without a doubt worth the wait. Prepare to cry A LOT, laugh, swoon, and fall even more in love with our Damien.
This book captivated me from the start. I spent the day glued to my kindle, my very jealous puppy trying and failing to get my undivided attention and whenever anyone tried to speak to me I unintentionally ignored them. My world existed only inside my kindle that day. So part of this review is an apology to Loki the demon puppy and my dad for ignoring them both all day. Sorry not sorry.
This is an additive, emotional, heartfelt love story about family, forgiveness, and taking that leap of faith with someone. A novel and series you never want to miss. But warning, you’ll binge the entire series in a week, go on a rollercoaster of emotions that may lead to a book funk (exhibit A: moi), and probably curse out LA Casey for all the feels. Because I’m seriously still drowning in a sea of feels that I don’t know how to process, and I accused her of Satanship (new word I just coined, you like it?). *picture the Thanks, Satan gif from Wreck It Ralph*
Love love love
I brought Damien’s book yesterday and I finished it last night because I couldn’t put it down. I have to thank LA Casey for another great book. It fills in the gaps between Damien and Alannah past and their future together.
Alannah is a shy, hard-working, beautiful girl but she doesn’t have any confidence in herself with relationships but her work is her life she can lose herself in it. She loves all of her friends and family, but there is one person that she doesn’t want to be around and that’s Damien. Everyone knows that they want to be together but because of their past Alannah can’t forget it, she wants to soo much but it hurts her. Can she forgive Damien and have that real happy ever after with him or will she just ignore him forever? That is the question that has been running through mind since Damien came back to Ireland but she can’t get too close to him or she will break.
Damien is real life version of Jack Frost as all the girls call him, he doesn’t mind that at all. He has been back home for just over a year now and he wants to make things better between him and a shy girl who hasn’t left his mind in the past 6 years and that’s Alannah. He wants to make thing better and to have a real relationship with her but she is keeping him at arms length and when he finds out that she has been dating someone he blows up and tell her that he hasn’t been with anyone since her.
Once they both decide that the past is better left in the past its like a weight has been lifted her shoulder and his. They are the perfect fit and Damien will never let her go after he gets her. She finds out news that will break your heart.
I love this book and once you start to read it you can’t put it down. Can’t wait to read Alannah’s Novella. This book will make you cry and angry and cry some more. You find out things about the brothers that will shock you. Enjoy this book as much I enjoyed reading.
