When an old letter arrives on their doorstep, well-to-do New Yorkers Brendon and Josh are propelled into a mystery involving Brendon's grandfather.

The resulting investigation takes our intrepid detectives across the country to the Deep South, and across the world to remote Sardinia, Italy. Hounded by shadowy forces, Brendon and Josh race to find answers before everyone involved in the mystery, including them, is killed.
