This straightforward police procedural offers no plot twists or surprises, but James does a good job of detailing how the same modern technology that can wreak havoc can also help bring crooks to justice. Grace's accepting a new position in London at the end promises a fresh direction for this long-running series. James's many fans will look forward to seeing what's next for Grace.

Kept me hooked
Really enjoyed the twists in this story and look forward to reading about Roy’s next chapter in his career.
Another Roy Grace page turner
Peter’s done it again! A well researched subject outlining the dangers of online dating which should be heeded by all. I enjoyed the return of antihero Mr Tooth back to his contract killer ways. This is a real page turner with an intense climax. A good holiday read. Will Work stand alone so you don’t have to read the other Roy Grace books beforehand either. But be warned, after reading this you might be propelled to read the previous books in this series!! Can’t wait for the next one.

Usually a massive fan of Peter James’ Roy Grace series.
What should and could have been an excellent plot, was totally ruined by the sheer amount of character names within the story; their personal descriptions and their roll within the police...... all inane.
Please for your next book in the series, please stick to a good plot, limited characters and and unputdownable read. 🙁
