Dear God, Deliver Us From Evil

The bible tells us that the disciples of Jesus were also called Christians. As a Christian they were representatives of Jesus Christ wherever they went. This meant that how they lived their lives, whatever they said, and whatever they did, had to be in accordance with how Christ lived his life, holy. Two thousand plus years later, it is no different for those of us who are called by the name of Christ. It is incumbent upon us to live holy lives, lives that are set apart for service to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As a Christian and particularly as a Church leader our mandate is to make disciples of all men. We should carry ourselves in such a way so that people can see the Christ in us. Unfortunately, too many Christians today have allowed the world with all its evil influences to seduce them into living lives not congruent to that of a Christian. In my book, Dear God, Deliver Us From Evil, I explore how we as Christians, especially those of us as Church leaders, can live in this world without letting the world live in us. All is not lost, it is indeed possible to be “inoculated” and in essence be delivered from the evil that seems to be prevalent everywhere.
