Death of Endless Damnation

The doctrine of endless punishment for the unsaved, at the hands of our Blessed Lord Jesus Christ for eternity, makes not only God a sadist, but as well also our Lord Jesus Christ who came into this world that all could be saved. To say that man is totally responsible for his eternal destruction, and that Hell and the Lake of Fire created by Jesus ("...by Him were all things created") is his just punishment for eternity simply is not taught in the Word of God. Granted, the scriptures in the English, as well as many translations seem to teach such, but the original languages do not support that claim. The fact is, the word 'everlasting/eternal' did not exist in the English language until 1300 a.d. It was brought across from the Latin, 'aternum' which indicated 'indefinite duration.' (See Word Etymology.) Then in the Greek, the two words 'aionios and aidios' are two entirely different words. 

The first simply meaning , 'indefinite duration' with the second meaning absolute 'endless or no ending.' Neither our Savior nor His disciples ever used the word 'aidios' or endless to describe the punishment of the wicked. The damnationists (those who hold to the wicked endless suffering doctrine) as well add to the book of Revelation by saying that the Lake of Fire will torment the unsaved for eternity. They overlook the fact that the Lake of Fire is a part of the old heaven and earth in chapter 20, and then passes away with passing away of the original heaven and earth.  The Lake of Fire exists no more after the new heaven and earth are created in chapter 21! Revelation 21:4 plainly says, "...And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." 

Plainly the Lake of Fire is the final place of punishment, unto those placed there, which when the punishment (meted out 'according to their works' but not eternally/endlessly) is completed, '...Every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord..." that all will thereby confess unto salvation. At that judgment, our Savior will be said finally to destroy His last enemy...death! Damnationists  thereby deny God's word when they deny verse 4! Calvinism is a hideously worse doctrine where God supposedly creates all men, only to force a small minority to be saved, and then forces the rest of mankind to consciously burn in the Lake of Fire for eternity.
