War almost destroyed them, but they survived thanks to their brother in arms Declan.
Coming home wasn't as sweet as they'd hoped, lives had moved on without them. For one it was all too much.
United by grief and angered by injustice the Wounded Heroes vow to always be there for each other.
Little do they know that's going to come sooner rather than later.
Hot ex-military - what more do you want?
Declan is the first in the Wounded Heros series and one of a few books where, when I got to the end, I was straight on to the author wanting to know when the second would be available. There is something so easy with Ava's writing. It flows, it's not complicated but gives an intricate storyline. I enjoy reading her work. If you have read any of the Severed MC series then there are some familiar characters however, it's not necessary as these characters are reintroduced. So what do we have here? Declan, as you may gather from the cover, is ex-military and has to find his place in 'civvie land'. Not an easy task for someone who has seen and done what he has. He finds himself in Severed a small town and one having its own struggles. I liked that Ava incorporated some of our favourite characters from her previous series, it made Declan immediately familiar for me but I can assure you, if you haven't read anything else by Ava, you will still thoroughly enjoy this book. To be honest there was nothing I could nitpick about with Declan and I do like to nitpick! The story kept my attention, I wanted to turn the page and know what happened next and I am keen for Ava to get that next book out! If you like ex-military, let me correct that, hot, ex-military and not just one but a few, if you like a little bit of MC and a while lot of suspense, then this is a book for you.
