Publisher Description
The sixth book in this action-packed, New York Times bestselling science fiction series – STAR CARRIER.
The clock is ticking in the struggle for galactic independence
Once rebels themselves facing off against the Earth Confederation, the United States of North America is now the dominant force in negotiations with the interstellar Sh'daar Collective. But just as the Marines root out the last violent dissenters, an alien ship of unknown origin suddenly flees Earth's orbit. Is it mere coincidence . . . or a terrifying omen?
President Alexander Koenig watches with great interest as USNA forces chase the runaways down. But upon first contact, it's not apparent where—or when—the crew is headed. For this bizarre species has somehow mastered the power to manipulate time itself. Now Koenig must decide whether he's dealing with angels of astonishing technological prowess . . . or the agents of humanity's destruction.

‘Douglas knows his SF’

‘The action is full-blooded and almost non stop, yet the well-developed background is surprisingly rich and logical … As immersive as it is impressive’

What a book!
Absolutely superb.
When you think things can't get worse they do, and when you think the series may run out of steam it takes up a whole new angle.
I have never pre ordered a book, but I have pre ordered the next two related to this. Can't wait to read about the type 3 aliens, and how enemies become allies.
There is too much of a tendancy to put everyone against earth "the USA" and we really should of found at least one allie by now. I think that should be hulkra, and/ or the groch.
Also need to develop Russian, Chinese and British ships more along with the different technologies.
The only criticism I have is that the basics such as prim's, starhawk versions, and sh'daar should be explained outside the main text of the book.
It feels like 10 pages of every book is the same as the last.
Put it as the first chapter of each book, and develop it based on the last. Then people won't have to re read the same again and again.
