Oh, these Aldridge men!!
I love returning to Baker’s Creek to visit with the Aldridge men, it just feels so homey and fun. After the first two books, it feels like we know a lot about Pierce, as there’s been some information dropped in those two novels. Leyla, not so much. But, here in their own story, told in their own words, we get to see the start of their relationship and where it all went wrong.
I loved getting to know Pierce and Leyla better, to see their love begin and how, even after all they had been through previously, the feelings never stopped.
Their story had plenty of angst and drama, from both characters, although Leyla’s story was more emotionally challenging, to me atleast.
This was an amazing second chance romance, it was easy to want these two to get back together and I was rooting for them from the opening pages. I continued loving on them until the last word and now, I just want more from Baker’s Creek. Thankfully, Beacon’s story shouldn’t be too far away.
This story is part of a series. You could read it as a standalone, but, it’s way better to meet Pierce’s brothers, Hayes and Henry first. Grab these titles and have a Baker’s Creek binge this weekend!!
