Customer Reviews
A great book and a great companion to it…
Here we find Joyce’s amazing Dubliners - a set of stories to read many times over.
This has been presented by these US scholars in an admirable fashion: all of the photos of turn of the century Dublin plus photos of objects mentioned in the stories really help to bring the stories to life. And so thorough too!
The essay placed after each story is really helpful as well.
A word of advice - just read Joyce’s stories and then look at the pictures and read the essay.
Coming back to the stories afterwards will help put a new perspective on Joyce’s mastery.
A great read! Thank you for all of the hard work that has been put into this. True love and respect for the achievements of Joyce. A must read!
