Cooking with Heston is a great book for the keen cooker and can be recommended from me for intricate recipes to execute on an occasion when cooking for guests.

This gives a decent spread of recipes that can really get stuck in with the food.

I loved this book and the recipes are easy to understand and making dinner from scratch gives you a feeling of pride.
