We pick up the story right where it finished, and Mia and Grayson are quietly celebrating their re-engagement. But life isn’t quite as simple as just getting back together, there’s the aftermath of what happened in book 1, the tensions from that plus Mia’s high profile murder case leads to worries and fears. Their love and devotion to each other never comes into question, it’s written clearly throughout the entire book. Their chemistry is still as volcanic and the suspense in their everyday life is tempered by their intimate moments.
Grayson is ready to take on the world for his woman, this gorgeous sexy man is all in and so is Mia. She’ll fight tooth and nail to keep him safe.
I loved catching up with these two characters and getting more from Cat and Reese as well as the Walker brothers and their team. Smith was as stoic as ever, Adrian’s joke’s as lame and Savage was well. Just himself.
