This book explores a group of animals that first appeared on land more than 400 million years ago—insects. A comprehensive introduction places insects in the context of other living things, and an extensive catalog showcases the amazing variety of earth’s most abundant—and often bizarre—animals. From butterflies and moths to dragonflies and grasshoppers, from beetles and bees to ants and earwigs, hundreds of individual specimens are profiled in incredible detail, each accompanied by clear, concise text and key data.

Great book, like the others!
This book is a great book like the other DK ebooks, heard that it crashes the app somewhere but doesn't happen to me. Well first of all it isn't in your face overloaded with all the videos and cool stuff, but I would like to have real pages in this book as it is almost like reading an endless strip of paper... Imagine that! Another thing is that as far as I can see, there is no sound on the videos and I think it would be nice to have music or something in the background but there are some sounds you can listen to so that sort of makes up. I like the way that you don't have to hurt your eyes by having to stare at some tiny pictures because you can make some of them bigger. I wouldn't recommend anybody reading this book who hasn't got that good knowledge of lots of different words and what they mean. But to anyone who does know a lot of words, you will understand this book and find it interesting to read.
Beware.......installing these seem to crash the app!
Cannot download or delete!
I have tried to download and it says I don't have enough memory. If 2.3g is not enough then how much is?
