Do You Know Who I Am?
Experiences of an Adopted Adult Tracing His Biological Family
Publisher Description
This short book is the prelude to my autobiography. The book is designed to help adopted adults who might be, or who are thinking about tracing their biological family. It is also a great read for adoptive parents who might have concerns about their children tracing their biological family, either now, or in years to come. The book explores my experiences as I traced my biological family a number of years ago, including some of the twist and turns I encountered. It doesn’t go into great detail for good reason, but it does provide quite an understanding of the difficulties the family experienced, as well as shining a light on some of the things people might encounter when they begin to turn over the rocks of their past. So often can we see issues presented through tracing, and very rarely does the process uncover a fairytale that the TV documentaries might have us believe, but what sets my story out from the rest is the amount of issues I uncovered.
