Publisher Description
Half-human and half-wyr, Pia Giovanni spent her life keeping a low profile among the wyrkind and avoiding the continuing conflict between them and their Dark Fae enemies. But after being blackmailed into stealing a coin from the hoard of a dragon, Pia finds herself targeted by one of the most powerful - and passionate - of the Elder Races.
As the most feared and respected of the wyrkind, Dragos Cuelebre cannot believe someone had the audacity to steal from him, much less succeed. And when he catches the thief, Dragos spares her life, claiming her as his own to further explore the desire they've ignited in one another.
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
A dragon, gryphons, and other Wyr creatures populate Harrison's steamy paranormal romance, the first in the Elder Races series. When Pia Giovanni's ex-boyfriend blackmails her into stealing from Dragos Cuelebre, Pia knows it's only a matter of time before the powerful dragon tracks her down. But instead of killing her, Dragos finds himself drawn to the half-human, half-Wyr thief. When the two are attacked and captured by goblins, Dragos and Pia realize that an old, powerful enemy of Dragos's wants them dead. Harrison goes beyond the usual vampires and werewolves to create an entertaining cast of supernatural creatures, but the action soon slows to a crawl and transforms into a series of misunderstandings between the lovers. Dominant Dragos is meant to be alpha-male sexy, but his constant bouts of possessive jealousy quickly grow tiresome, as does Pia's skittish, passive nature.

Dragon Bound
What a fun book. I have not fallen in love with the protagonists of a book so fast, in a very long time. There was lots of hype around this book before it was published and many reviewers hinted that it was structured a little like the Nalini Singh's Guild-Hunter series. Superficially, it is but only in that we have a supernatural Alpha immortal in charge, he lives in a tower where he can fly off the balconies and the tower is located in New York. He has his Seven but that is where the comparisons stop. Unlike the Guild Hunter series - which is a complex, plot driven paranormal romance, whose characters are complicated and whose histories and stories inter-weave in a series of books that make your heart beat faster - Dragon Bound is a beautiful, sexy, witty, funny, twist on the traditional Fairy Tale and has a very definite ending with no obvious overarching story lines except that one is interested to read about the other characters. At least in my humble opinion.
The heroine Pia Giovanni, is part human and part Wyr (which I guess is a play on 'Were'). She possesses Wyr powers which put her in an untenable position when she indiscreetly mentions them to her boyfriend and he uses this knowledge to blackmail her. The plot begins when she is blackmailed into steeling from the Dragos's hoard. Dragos is a being created at the beginning of time, with powers so vast that Pia at 25 years old can never hope to match. The theft makes our dragon crazy and sets into motion one of the most exciting, sweet, passionate love stories I have read in ages.
On point
One of the best books ive read after Kristen Ashleys books and fsog.
