Dubious Bear

Love is a roller coaster that can make you hurl. So is Life.

Hank Dunne has lived his life on the philosophy that life comes at you fast, play dead. He'd learned not to put himself out there, never commit, and never putting himself on the line. When he's forced to guide two Council Enforcers into the Alaskan Kodiak Archipelago, Hank knows he's met his Waterloo, despite all efforts to deny it. Nobody has power over him but him. Right? Right?

Katerina Poleski loves her role as a Council Enforcer sniper. She loves being single and sees mating as only have ready sex on her rare trips home. She'll get around to it. So, imagine her shock when She finds her mate on a mission, and he's nothing like what she'd imagined.

They think they know how damaging love is. The gods laugh when people make plans. The secret is being able to laugh back when your plans are in tatters.
