Earth Science

This text book sets the stage for how we know about science, and the nature of the Earth which supports us.  It examines the nature of science, the history of how we have come to know about our place in the universe, how the Earth works, and what are our prospects for a future relationship with the planet.  The text concludes with a survey of critical issues for the 21st century: population, petroleum, water, and the rise of China and India.
