Publisher Description
Can Edie rediscover her artistic mojo and become a ‘Watercolour Wonder’?
Edie Brinkley went from rising star on the London art scene to hiding out at her gran’s cottage in the little village of Padcock after a series of unfortunate circumstances leave her almost too panicky to pick up a paintbrush.
When celebrity artist Ninian Chambers rocks up in the village to film Watercolour Wonders, a new TV art competition, Edie is horrified – especially as he played no small part in her decision to leave London.
But, with the support of the Padcock community, and one very special fellow contestant, could Ninian’s show ultimately offer a fresh start for Edie and her art career? Or will Annabel the sixties’ style stealer, along with make-up artist Tallulah and her ‘Caravan of Hell’, sabotage her summer of new beginnings?

A real page turner
’m a huge fan of Kirsty Ferry’s romantic comedies, especially when they are as fun as Edie’s Summer of New Beginnings. Having settled in the lovely village of Padcock, the last thing artist Edie expects is to be confronted with her nemesis and fellow artist Ninian Chambers, now the star of a reality art TV show. Kirsty always creates such lovely believable characters you can’t help falling in love with them. Add humour and family intrigue and you have another Kirsty Ferry masterpiece. A real page turner not to be missed.
Thoroughly enjoyable read
I loved this book especially as we learned more about Edie, and why she was so abrasive and downright horrible, especially to Ninian! She is then forced to compete in a TV art competition which has many entertaining but also heart wrenching scenes. It was a really enjoyable read and I highly recommend both this novel and the talented author.
Lovely read
Edie Brinkley was an uprising artist in London but 5 years ago she left it all behind and went to settle in the little village of Padcock in her grandmother’s old house. She was working in the local cafe and has not done any new painting in all this time. In London she had a spat with a new artist Ninian Chambers who has become very famous in these 5 years and suddenly comes to Padcock to film a new art show competition, the Watercolour Wonders. Unknown to her, Edie is added to the competition and she decides to give it a go. Little does she know how much she will gain from that…
