Edmund T. H. Gibson, Plaintiff in Error. v. Bradford B. Stevens

THIS case was brought up, by writ of error, from the Circuit Court of the United States for the District of Indiana. It was an action of replevin brought by Gibson, a citizen of New York, against Stevens, the sheriff of Allen county, Indiana, who had in his custody sundry articles of property which he had taken by virtue of a writ of foreign attachment, issued under the state laws of Indiana.
