Electronic Absorption Spectra and Geometry of Organic Molecules

The main subject of this book is the relation between electronic absorption spectra of organic compounds and geometry of molecules. In most works which deal with electronic absorption spectroscopy this relationship is discussed rather briefly as a special topic. I believe, however, that an extensive discussion not only will afford important information about molecular geometry but also will facilitate the understanding of the nature of electronic states and electronic absorption spectra of molecules. The book is intended primarily for research workers and graduate-level chemistry students.
