INTRODUCTION Jordan Nott was a freshman at George Washington University (GWU) when one of his good friends jumped from a dormitory window and killed himself, in Nott's presence. (1) When Nott returned to school the next year and another student committed suicide, Nott became severely depressed. (2) He began counseling and psychiatric medication.
