Most textbooks on embryology are tedious and confusing, it is often not taught asa standalone subject, however you are expected to have an understanding of the basics in order to have a proper grasp on anatomy and histology. This 25-page long book is perfect for finding your bearings quickly.

Each of the chapters is composed of flow diagrams and succinct paragraphs to illustrate the basics of how we form from germ cells to babies. Offers an in-depth look into the formation of the placenta and development of teeth, complete with histological images. 


Warning: there are a few images of embryos, so I would suggest avoiding this book (and most medical schools) if that may upset you.
