Publisher Description
Introduction In 2007, there were 4,153 inpatients with learning disabilities in England and Wales (Healthcare Commission 2007). There are no data available on the types of vocational opportunity that are being offered within these services. This paper describes the establishment of a work-based learning programme within a community-based forensic learning disability service. The programme is described in relation to three partners. The advantages of collaborative work are noted and some of the issues specific to the patient group are considered.
