Benton Danielson is one of the most influential men of our lifetime. He was born and raised to continue his family's legacy. He really enjoyed his privacy though. When he had the opportunity to he build a base in a mountain range so he can continue his private life while working. He enjoyed being a secretive billionaire.
When she set up the laser grid when she fell, she had no idea who she was when she woke up. After the doctors ran all the tests that they could on her they realize that her amnesia was probably due to the fall down the mountain. This is when Benton realized that he had two at least provide for her moment. As the two got to know each other they realized they could be friends and then possibly something more. They hoped when she remembered her memory, they could find out why she was running in the first place and how she got out to the mountain range. Then they would have an idea of how they would have to proceed and make sure that she was safe from whatever she was running from.
