Falling Star

TV star Callie Matherson has ample time to respond to an invitation she never thought she would receive - a mysterious letter from her long-lost father, Jake. What does he want from her? Money? A kidney? A piece of her liver? After her character Victoria Valmont is murdered in the bathtub by the jealous wife of her latest lover, she travels from New York City to rural Wyoming to find out. The reunion with her father is delayed and she gets off to a rocky start with Mac McKenzie, the good-looking, horse rescuer sent by her father to pick her up from the airport. As she gets to know her father, Callie is skeptical of his sudden, important discovery that he wants to share with her after so many years of silence.
