Fibromyalgia chatter
OMG! How refreshing to read, I really needed to hear what the author was saying, very positive outlook on living with fibromyalgia, I too have this positive attitude but seems not many others do. I'm tired of reading everyone's down moods on this subject, I loved this book as it may help people grab life's opportunities rather than just thinking, I can't do that, you will have pain anyway, in bed or at the party, so go and party, have fun, book that holiday, get out of bed and breath in the fresh air. Thank you x

Whilst my fibro pain is not as bad I still have pain that seems to be unexplained. It's nice to know its real pain, even if it's doing no "damage" and it's not all in my head it is real, I'm not making it up it's not imagined. Tiredness and fatigue are the worst symptoms for me. Getting going and stay going in the morning is really hard. I have to have a reason to get up and go. Working a conventional job for other people is a definate no no for me. I have to have flexibility to start late if I need to. It's nice, if that's the right phrase, to see I'm not the only one that suffers this. Fibromyalgia is a frustrating condition, mainly because there is no cure, some meds work others don't . I'm trying a very low dose antidepressant at the moment, but whilst it eases some of the pain it can also add greatly to the early morning fatigue!. It's taking a while for those close to me to realise that when " mums asleep again" I'm not being lazy I just can't keep my eyes open any longer! . The author mentions massage, whilst I love this it can sometimes be to painful to bare acupuncture is my saviour, that and a very good and caring practiioner. The life style changes suggested I will try, though not sure about the peppermint tea! And Fish are very therapeutic pet to have, many an hour is spent gazing at them floating around, it's very relaxing! I would like to thank the author for sharing her experiences and would highly recommend this book. Whilst every fibro sufferer will have different symptoms and varying degrees of symptoms it was lovely to be able to relate to them and realise its not all in my head.
