Publisher Description
Flame-haired Lissa Piner is a skilled glass blower whose delicate gift conceals a burning inner strength that can destroy as exquisitely as it can create. Commissioned to design chandeliers for a string of luxury hotels, her remarkable skills have taken her to Italy. But Lissa's real mission there is a secret. For her entire life has been a lie, leading to a chance to avenge a terrible wrong.
Enlisted as her bodyguard is Casmir Prakenskii, a trained assassin living off the grid. In Lissa, he sees a kindred spirit - something unexpected and wicked, mysterious and sensual. But more than desire is about to bring them together: because both of their pasts cry out for revenge. And for two people with this many secrets, this much passion, and this many enemies, someone is bound to get burned.
Praise for Christine Feehan:
'The queen of paranormal romance! The one who started it all! I love everything she does' J.R. Ward
'After Bram Stoker, Anne Rice and Joss Whedon (who created the venerated Buffy the Vampire series), Feehan is the person most credited with popularising the neck gripper' Time
'Suspenseful, engaging - fraught with magic, action and romance . . . I HAVE to read the next one in the series' Smexy Books
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
A mystical bond and overpowering passion unite Lissa Piner and Casimir Prakenskii, the stars of Christine Feehan’s action-packed romance. As Lissa closes in on the man who killed her family—who she’s spent years tracking down—she’s distracted by her attraction to her self-appointed bodyguard. The fifth book in the Sea Haven series will appeal to fans of Feehan's Dark novels, but newcomers to the paranormal genre will find the supernatural elements subtle enough not to overwhelm.
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Bestseller Feehan's third Sisters of the Heart paranormal (after Spirit Bound) has a heroine as bland and colorless as the air that she controls. Airiana Ridell has seen patterns and equations in the air for as long as she can remember. She was part of a government program for teenage geniuses until the murder of her mother led her to flee. Max Prakenskii is a mercenary sent by Airiana's long-absent father, Theodotus Solovyov, to retrieve her from the close-knit community of Sea Haven, Calif. Max soon recognizes Airiana as a kindred air soul, despite her sheltered unawareness of her own power. As Theodotus's machinations drag them deeper into a murky underworld of international intrigue and child trafficking, Airiana realizes that Max is in as much danger as she is. Though the paranormal talents of Max and Airiana are unique, the tales of a cold warrior finding a heart and the heroine coming into her own have been better explored elsewhere.

Not sure how I feel?
Book 5 Sea Haven ‘Sisters of the Heart’ Fire bound by Christine Feehan.
I won’t lie it was difficult rating this book. It had great parts but it took a long to time to finish. I started in September last year, almost 6 months. I did read this as paperback which I think I do struggle to read now as I primarily read in kindle, I’m dyslexic and I find open dyslexic which makes a massive difference in my reading time and my ability to concentrate.
This book is about Lissa or Giacinta that is a local artist in Sea Haven and was invited by hotels in other countries to design art for them. But she’s actually a trained assassin that is on a vengeance path to kill people responsible for her parents death but she doesn’t realise she should be looking closer to Italian family.
Casimir is a Prakenskii also trained as a ghost assassin, all his brothers were stolen and his parents were killed and he’s finally closed and In a position to kill the Russian family that are responsible.
This one is slow to be honest but in parts picks up quickly and especially to end of book story really gets going.
Don’t know whether Christine Feehan losing her touch which will gut me because I’ve been a long standing fan since first Carpathian/Ghostwalkers/Drake sisters.
