Rescued
Finally a widow after 8 years of marriage to a depraved monster, Serena is horrified to find out that her brothers have spent her inheritance and are planning to sell her off to the highest bidder. Rather than be another man’s plaything she runs but soon discovers how perilous her situation is and takes drastic action to try and secure her future. Whilst she doesn’t see her actions as dishonourable, as events unfold she discovers she has complicated and altered the life of a good man. Haven’t read any of the other books in the series and can confirm that this book can be read as a standalone. I enjoyed and read in one sitting.
