Epic & Climatic Finale to the Talon series
An epic and worthy finale to this fabulous shifter series. We finally get the story of Max, a shifter who is a little damaged but not broken, a little distant but not separate from the pack, and although seeming to have lost his purpose and direction, is found again when he discovers his mate.
Cheyenne didn’t want anything to do with the supernatural world but now she is in the thick of it, with the danger and loss that it brings with it; but it will be worth the pain as anything is possible with her mate by her side, even the drastic change of becoming part of the pack.
An amazing individual book, a climatic finale to this series and also whispers of excitement to come in future shifter series.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
Sadly All Good Things Come To An End
I really feel that this book deserves more stars, Five Are Not Enough! From the first chapter, my heart was beating a mile a minute and I was hooked, holding my breath in anticipation. Although this story started out on a sad note and is called Forever Broken for me it should have been called Forever Hopeful (sorry Carrie Ann). I have grown to love this wonderful community of shifters, their stories have found their way into my heart and I know I’m going to read all of them again.
Max has featured in a lot of the books in this series so I feel like I already know him and I so wanted him to find his mate. Cheyenne is like a sister to Aimee, Dawn, and Dhani who are now part of The Pack, she alone is not. In this book, the Talons and Max must tackle Blade (another alpha) who has kidnapped Cheyenne. Although Max is part of the Talon family since, he lost his arm he has not felt like he belonged but he will do whatever he can to save Cheyenne.
This story was an emotional rollercoaster full of action, and drama and it was lovely to see how Max and Cheyenne came together. There was a lot of heartaches too and I kept wondering how things would work out but I need not have worried with an author like Carrie Ann and a family like the Talons we had to end on a high.
I am so sorry that this book ends the Talon storyline, but I suppose all good things must end.
Slow start but ending better
Final book in the Talon Pack series by Carrie Ann Ryan.
Max is a solider in the Talon Pack but not part of the hierarchy. Through the years of fighting Max loss his arm and a little bit of his soul.
After years of fighting and trying to make something of his dysfunctional pack.
Things start to look up when things start to get back to normal and family’s start to have babies which haven’t happened for centuries.
Cheyenne has been friends with Talon Pack for a long time and has been eyeing Max but they have been passing each other in the night as such but Max wolf didn’t recognise Cheyenne as his mate.
After Cheyenne was attack by Blade Max’s wolf woke up and noticed her as his mate.
I did feel this was a bit slow for me and I had to push myself through first part of the book but once Cheyenne was attacked and max realised they were mates.
The main battle was really good but felt Blade got killed too easily but I did like the whole Supreme Alpha thing.
Shame we won’t find out more about next generation of the Talon
