Great writing
This is a real page-turner, written in a style that is both highly descriptive and engrossing. I’m looking forward to the next in the series.
Fractured
Very good , a page turner
I absolutely adore Karin Slaughter’s work!
Each as good as the next, I just found out that the main character from Triptych had become a huge book series and I bought Fracture at the speed of light! Triptych was the first crime novel in my early teens to really throw me through a loop, and introduce me to huge twists and shock endings, to step outside of linear, formulaic and boring writing and into the world of genuine curiosity, unpredictability, fantastic world building and nuance. I absolutely loved Triptych, and am so excited about reading each and every one of the Will Trent series books! This one hasn’t disappointed at all, I rediscovered many things I love about Slaughter’s writing. I love her attention to detail and her methods of really introducing and bonding us to the characters, the complex and forever unfolding sense of personality that they all have and I love her ability to really create a consistent and ever expanding picture in your mind that’s all encompassing. With Slaughter’s work, you could be reading for hours and it’d feel like a few minutes! I have the biggest soft spot for her stuff even in adulthood and I’m delighted that Triptych became something more.
