We’re confident you’ll find The Friend Zone as delightful as we did, whether it’s your first romance novel or your 107th. Kristen and Josh’s first meeting can’t quite be called auspicious, but the more they get to know each other, the harder it becomes to stay away. Despite how much they like each other, there’s a problem—or, actually, many problems. Abby Jimenez’s emotionally complex story doesn’t shy away from the complicated realities of life, diving into infertility, family expectations, and relationship obligations. As Kristen and Josh attempt to sort out their issues, Jimenez’s witty and acerbic writing kept us laughing even when we were holding back tears.

Real emotion
Fast flowing, emotional realism, that life’s fun, turmoil, trauma throw at you without notice or prejudice wrapped with laces of humour and tears. If a touch frustrating in the core of the read, I couldn’t stop!!
Fun and witty
Enjoyable!
Good story, stick with it
Nice story. Heartwarming, and you become invested in the characters which is always important to a good book.
It’s no austin, but it’s good for a bit of escapism and easy reading.
Towards the end the protagonist character Kristen becomes irritating and I was starting to get fed up of her! It is a little repetitive for a while, but I’d say it is still worth a read and I did enjoy it.
