The more Falcon finds out about Silver, the more he falls in love. Before she can follow suit, however, Silver will have to reveal some secrets that have been giving her nightmares. Silver s a cop and a writer, but Falcon begins wondering why she knows so many high-level people, including a former Vice President of the United States. Rather than provide textured characterization, Henderson relies on gimmicks. Still, there s an ending as twisty and satisfying as spiral macaroni. Publisher Bethany House is betting that Henderson, a two-time Christy Award winner, will bounce back in a big way after a writing hiatus; the first printing is 125,000.

Sloooow...
I am a massive Dee Henderson fan- I have all the O'Malley books and several heroes ones and love them.
This book is really, really slow! I had to work to read it through, unlike the brilliant O'Malley series.
Spoiler alert and pet hate: I hated it that 'Ann' had written the O'Malley series and that Paul kept going on about how amazing the books were! Honestly... A little humility?!
Also, Ann was someone you admired and felt sorry for, but it irritated me she 'needed' so much time away from Paul once married. 4hrs a day and one week a month? Really? You could argue that unique people need unique marriages, but it seemed closer to dysfunctional to me!
Basically, don't waste your time with this book... But definitely read the O'Malleys
