Publisher Description
From USA Today best-selling author, Willow Winters, comes a tempting tale of fated love, lust-filled secrets and the beginnings of an epic war.
There was never a question of whether or not I would be his.
It’s simply what fate demanded.
There’s a knowing when the werewolves find their mates. It’s an aching need, a desperation… one they would die for. But for their mates, it’s a trance, a pull, a submissive desire that’s at odds with the shadows of my past and how I’ve learned to survive.
I didn’t know how hard I’d fall. I didn’t know what destiny would bring.
I didn’t know it then that I would die for him as he would me.
This is book 2 of the To Be Claimed Saga. Wounded Kiss is book 1 and should be read first.

Truly captivating and a real page-turner!
Gentle Scars is a sexy and absolutely fantastic werewolf-fantasy romance all about love, fate and desires. As with the first instalment in this series, here are my thoughts on all the couples:
Vince and Veronica were the main couple of this book and I absolutely fell head over heels in love with them - especially Veronica, that woman is an absolute goddess. The power dynamic in their relationship was brilliant, I loved how Willow really exceeded societal expectations and made the woman more dominant that the man. Individually, I loved them both. I think Veronica is a beautiful heroine with many scars and flaws but Vince was right their to take care of her and love her.
Grace and Devin were one of the main couples in Wounded Kiss, the first instalment, and I loved them even more in this book. They still have lots of foundations to build on such as trust but I think they are on a great journey towards that goal. I adored how sweet Devin was to her, how he always tries to protect her and how he always puts her & her feelings first. I love them as a couple and I love them as individuals.
Caleb, Dom and Lizzie were the other couple in Wounded Kiss, but obviously they are also a big feature in this book. Every page, my heart kept breaking for Dom but I loved how Lizzie is slowly getting to trust him and I love how patient he is with her, he never tries to rush her or force things with her. Caleb was just wonderful to her - I adored how he always cared for her and made sure she was feeling comfortable.
As a whole, I absolutely loved this book and I am impatiently waiting for the third book in this series because that ending! (Also, extra brownie points to Willow because I rarely find books with Filipino rep <3)
Thank you to the author for sending me an ARC in exchange for an honest review!!
