Publisher Description
Filled with stories of ghosts, zombies, vampires, ghouls, phantoms and banshees, Fiction House's "Ghost" series doesn't miss a creepy creature. Debuting in 1951, the series became one of the publisher's "Big Six" comics in no time. Telling stories of damsels who seem to get themselves running into monsters of all sorts, the comics are some of Fiction House's most brilliantly illustrated and most terrifying. This comic series and others like it during the 1950s were the subject of many investigations by local governments concerned that the stories might have been a contributing factor to the rising rate of crimes committed by youths. This first issue in the series contains the "Terror in the Night: The Banshee Bells" and "The Undead Prowl: Feed the Phantoms!" stories.
