Catherine "Katie" Langloh Parker (1 May 1856 – 27 March 1940) was born at Australia and lived in New South Wales. She is well-known for her recording of the folk stories about Aboriginal people. Her collection was one of the first attempts of researching Aboriginal people's folk, beliefs and short stories of north-west New South Wales. She is best known by her books such as “Australian Legendary Tales”, “Tales of the Dreamtime”, “Wise Women of the Dreamtime” and other.
