They're a glamorous family, the Caseys.
Johnny Casey, his two brothers Ed and Liam, their beautiful, talented wives and all their kids spend a lot of time together - birthday parties, anniversary celebrations, weekends away. And they're a happy family. Johnny's wife, Jessie - who has the most money - insists on it.
Under the surface, though, conditions are murkier. While some people clash, other people like each other far too much . . .
Everything stays under control until Ed's wife Cara, gets concussion and can't keep her thoughts to herself. One careless remark at Johnny's birthday party, with the entire family present, starts Cara spilling out all their secrets.
In the subsequent unravelling, every one of the adults finds themselves wondering if it's time - finally - to grow up?

APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
A master of the everyday dramedy, Marian Keyes outdoes herself with this ambitious saga centred on an Irish family thrown into increasing turmoil. For all the quirks of the Casey clan, however, any reader can relate to these familial foibles and longstanding skeletons in the closet. Right down to its wry title, Grown Ups chronicles the inevitable vagaries of love and marriage, and the looming life milestones that prove almost too difficult to bear. Yet the tone remains brisk and conversational throughout, with plenty of shady banter and lovely poetic touches as Keyes animates this true-to-life procession of distinct personalities.

Possibly the best Marian Keyes book yet!
Really enjoyed this book. So many great characters with a few different threads throughout the story. I’d love to see another story built around this family and characters much like some of Marian’s other books.
