Guitar Modes Made Easy

David has demystified this until-now perplexing topic. His writing is clear and brief, and so, much more engaging than the many laborious and turgid books out there on learning guitar. His book has not only been revelatory about the seven modes, but has beefed up my knowledge of the theory behind the pentatonic scales. I believe I have learnt something that will be of practical use every day from now on. Probably the best £7.49 I have spent as far as guitar-training goes.

As long as you sit down with your guitar and take things slowly it'll teach you more in an hour than a lesson with a tutor will. The interactive element is brilliant and shows what you can actually do with an iBook, after reading this I'd happily pay through the nose next time! Bring it on Wallimann, we want more :) a guitar playback app perhaps?

Simple to understand lessons that will benefit any guitarist. If your looking to understand modes I would definitely recommend this book. David has managed to make a relatively complex subject interesting and easy to understand. I just wish there were more books like this on iTunes.
