Customer Reviews
Yet again another awesome book!
I’m not into westerns or any books based in the past, but I am throughly loving this new saga. The characters are awesome and I find that I am enjoying learning about the history or the western times. The story is fantastic keeping me glued to my phone reading. I just couldn’t put the book/phone down till I’d finished the book.. and eagerly awaiting the next book. This one is based on a train journey and an eccentric actress across the gold dust counties, dodging robbers and murderers alike, but never far fetched. I am truly transported there in my mind. Definitely worth a read u won’t regret it.
Great character
Claire Whitcomb is my hero, what a woman, she has lost her family who were murdered in front of her. Claire has left her home in Leadville in search of a new career as a gunslinger. She finds herself employed as a body guard to an actress after a chance encounter on a train which is attacked. Claire is fearless refusing to conform to society's opinion she wears men’s clothes, or a specially adapted dress to allow easy access to her trusty pistol. On arrival in Tombstone a male environment she holds her own and proves that a woman can be an equal. She earns respect from the outlaws she has despatched and her ability to handle her pistol. Easy to read, constant action, great characters and Claire gets to meet Doc Holiday and Wyatt Earp.
I can’t wait for the next chapter in the story.
Excellent series
This is another series that gets better and better with every book. This series contains two of my most loved things, it’s a western and a has a feisty lady. What more can I say. Roll on on book three. What will Claire do next? Highly recommended.
