Gus ~ Elliott's Story

When Elliott — a confused young man in search of the meaning of life — drove down the highway early one morning, he unwittingly began an adventure as personally significant and life-changing as Arthur Dent’s; albeit sans earth’s annihilation or the need to hitchhike around the galaxy.


Early in his trip, Elliott meets Gus, a curious old man with a dusty pack over his shoulder, an iPod full of Beatles tunes in his pocket, and — as Elliott soon learns — an unbelievable assertion he's someone, or something, beyond belief.


​As they travel about the country, Gus teaches Elliott important lessons about history, religion, philosophy, grizzly bears and coffee. In due course, a warm and humorous bond develops between the two men as Elliott and Gus swap repartee, personal histories and existential observations.
