Fantastic read!
Wow what a read! I was gripped from the very start! Mackenzie applies for the interview of a lifetime, but from the start it is a disaster when she can’t even open the door! Despite that, she gets offered another job within the company with the agreement that she will eventually get moved to the marketing department, for her dream job. What Mackenzie doesn’t realise is how hard it will be to work as Vincent’s secretary, from raging mood swings to her lack of mind reading, Mackenzie finds it hard to keep up. Now and again she does see a different side to Vincent when he helps her, but very quickly the shutters are back down. The chemistry between them both is sizzling, eventually Mackenzie thinks the is getting somewhere with Vincent when she learns a very big secret about Vincent. What a cliff hanger to end on. I loved the characters and the connection they had, despite how horrible Vincent was to Mackenzie. I really cannot wait for the next book in this series! Fantastic author!

His Ambush - Good read
This is Mackenzie and Vincent's story - a new trilogy. It’s an office based romance with plenty of twists, and characters with lots of depth and mystery. There are some parts which are cringeworthy as some of Mackenzie’s behaviours are relatable. Be warned - it ends on a cliff hanger which left me very frustrated! There were quite a few typos and some parts didn’t make sense which is down to the proofing/editing rather than the author. I’ve read a number of Megan Matthew’s book and whilst I prefer the style of the Pelican series, I would still recommend this book and will be purchasing the other in the trilogy to find my happy ending!
