Publisher Description

A car accident shattered sixteen-year-old Morgan's family. Now her brother's dead, her mom's paralyzed in more ways than one, her dad lives at work and her seven-year-old sister Amy tries too freaking hard to salvage everything. What's more, high school is its own special kind of hell, where her ex-boyfriend delights in spreading rumors that shred her reputation and make her feel like a loser.

When she finds an old camera in a creepy abandoned hospital, it seems like her luck is finally changing. And it is changing--from bad to worse. Because of course it is. Each time Morgan photographs one of her classmates they become corrupted versions of themselves. It's like the camera steals their goodness, their essence, and leaves them hollow.

Then her sister uses the camera to take a selfie.

No matter what the cost, Morgan will find a way to reverse the effects of the cursed camera and save Amy, before her already-fractured family completely self-destructs.

A dark thought provoking story. Worth more then the 5* allowed

What happens when any goodness, compassion, love or care disappears from your life? Rhonda Parrish has created a storyline of what her characters are left with when half of themselves have no choice and it is sucked from their very soul. A haunted hospital, A haunted Camera and a life Morgan has suffered every since the loss of her brother, plus a traumatic event that torture’s her day and night . There is little love left in her home, apart from her little sister who she would protect with her life. The last straw is when the Camera also steals her good half from her soul stealing anything good. Every slight bit of happiness is gone, because she went into a Haunted Hospital. Rhonda Parrish gives us a atramentous storyline where you can feel the heavy silence hang all around you as you become so completely engrossed you are transported there with Morgan as she traipses the dreary dripping halls of the hospital following the pressing actions that encourage her to find that camera. (Personally I would have turned tail and ran like hell). However this is like a scary film you can’t turn away from, yes your scared or apprehensive but you need to know what’s around the next corner, whom will be effected next. However there is a point to this darkness for where there is dark let there be light. The lesson has a point to it and guided by a soul who needs you to see what it would be if life was in complete darkness. It shows a sad young woman who has felt nothing but sadness so long she has lost any hope, in herself her family and her friends, the only question is if she will run out of time to see the reasoning behind people’s true nature. To learn the many lessons of life. Does the title refer to How Morgan feels? “Hollow”? Or is it portraying those with half of their souls missing as “Hollow “? This is an exceptional piece of writing with creativity pouring out of every word, expect your thoughts and emotions to put through the wringer, to be laid bare. Rhonda Parrish I applaud you.
