Publisher Description
Humans are seen as weak. Helpless. Crude. And yet, I hold the heart of the Vakhing King.
Thor found me battered and beaten—he believed me to be frail—but I taught that Vakhing what it means to be human… To be fierce.
He nearly gives up his throne to be with me, but I can’t let that happen. Now, it’s time for me to show everyone what I am capable of. I will prove to this race that I am as strong as their warriors. I am meant to be with the Vakhing.
Thor’s blood Sang for me. And the blood cannot be denied.
But when it comes time for the trials, something is wrong… My tasks are laden with traps. They are nearly the death of me. But as a human, I refuse to be defeated.
I have only two options: win my place at the side of the Vakhing King or… die.

Three and a half
Well I didn't much care for Thor in the previous book but have to say he certainly improved in this book. No longer quite so carefree but determined to do the best he can for his race but what if that entailed being fated to have a weak human Mate ? Step forward Addy who might have had a difficult life but she's no slouch in the self preservation department ! She might have been tricked, brutally attacked and left for dead but when she awakens to find herself kidnapped by an annoying, arrogant alien there's no way she's going to make things easy for him. Trouble is Thor isn't the only one who doubts Addy and pretty soon there's a whole new world of pain for them both to endure !
I am enjoying these fun, slightly silly new stories and wonder if perhaps the new co author is the reason that the older Preor characters are absent ? Whatever the reason I liked Addy and perhaps there wasn't as much humour as I've come to expect but nevertheless as a pallet cleansing read after more brutal stories on my kindle I happily spent a few hours amongst these characters loosely based on Norse mythology.
This voluntary take is of an advanced copy and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair
