About the author
Bella Mackie is the author of three Sunday Times bestsellers – her nonfiction Jog On, her debut novel How to Kill Your Family, and her latest novel What a Way to Go. She has written for the Guardian, Vogue and Vice. In 2023 she judged the Women’s Prize for Fiction and her work has twice been shortlisted for the British Book Awards.

Great story, terrible ending
Loved the witty narrative of the main character and the pacing of the story. Was thoroughly disappointed with the ending
Let down
The title promises so much but the story is rather boring, uninspired and contains so much unnecessary ramblings and details. The finale is a let down and rather makes the whole thing moot.
I hated it. It let me down.
I waded through what turned out to be a lengthy book that should have been fun just to be let down by the predictable end.
