Most important book of 2021!
Just finished reading “How to Listen” from Samaritans and it is brilliant! If you’re going to read one book this year, please make it this one! I think we can all learn something from it, whether you want to know how to be there for someone who is struggling, or you’re finding things a little tough yourself and want some support. It’s a nice, easy read, with so many important lessons inside!
This book gives such a good insight into what it’s like being a Samaritan, and what it’s like to call Samaritans. It shines a light on the importance of simply listening, rather than trying to find a quick solution, which is something I’ve always believed in. The book is also filled with personal stories from people who have turned their lives around after calling Samaritans, and it’s a well needed reminder that you’re never alone, no matter what you’re going through. I am sure this book is going to help so many people and I’m so glad it’s here!
