I'm an all-or-nothing man—100 percent focused on whatever has my attention.
First it was serving my country in the Special Forces. Then it was building my business. Right now it's the hot blonde at the bar who's about to become another notch on my bedpost.
But women never keep my attention for more than a night.
Until I peel off Skylar Anderson's clothes and her mask starts to crumble, showing me glimpses of the girl she's hiding. She's funny, sexy and vulnerable and throws me out of bed before I can catch my breath and suggest breakfast.
When I start my last undercover job on a yacht, turns out, she's one of the crew. I try, but I can't look away.
Her high ponytail shows off her kissable neck that tastes like summer.
Her short uniform reveals the killer legs that were wrapped around me last night.
And her provocative smile? I know what that mouth is capable of.
I want to explore her body, discover her secrets and sail off into the sunset with her.
I might want to go all in for Skylar, but she should stay away from me. I've got secrets of my own and they can only bring her trouble.
A stand-alone novel.

Landon is The Perfect Gentleman
Landon and Skylar are two people who are as different as they are similar. Both of them are closed off, albeit for different reasons. Landon is used to the solitude his career has brought him, and with the private nature of his job, he’s been happy to have women for one night only.
Skylar is determined not to repeat the history of her tragic past, her job as the High Steward aboard private yachts enabling her to provide plenty of money to support herself so she never NEEDS a man.
When a chance meeting draws them to each other, they both agree it’s just one night. But as luck would have it, when they end up on the same Yacht for the summer, the lines become blurred and they both question if they could actually become more than just a fling.
Is Landon really who he says he is? Can Skylar really be capable of a relationship with him? Or will he end up being ‘The Wrong Gentleman’ for her?
Skylar isn’t your typical heroine, she’s a mix of strength and vulnerability, an intense need for independence that is slowly chipped away at by the dominance and protectiveness Landon shows her. Landon is a complex character, who’s lead an extremely private life due to his career choices, and isn’t prepared for the feelings that Skylar evokes in him. What the two experience with each other is like nothing they’ve ever felt before, and just when they think they have it all figured out, they are thrown through a loop.
Another great story that I thoroughly enjoyed reading. Louise always provides an extra insight into her characters lives that enables you to relate to them and connect with them on an emotional level. I didn’t know how this story would play out and that gave it a sense of intrigue, making it all the more interesting, especially reading about the yachting industry from the staffing side of things rather than the rich guests!
Louise has always been an instant 1-click author for me and this story did not disappoint!
One thing you can be sure of is that Louise Bay always delivers when it comes to a good solid romance story. She has the knack of writing the most perfect hero's and heroines to fit the brilliant storylines. Skylar and Landon were certainly no exception, and I loved their journey. The chemistry and heat which radiated from these two were off the charts.
This is a standalone story, but if you have read her previous book 'The Ruthless Gentleman' you will be pleased to know we have Avery and Hayden feature and make an appearance in this book too!
When Landon has some time off work before starting a new role in London, he is given an opportunity from a friend. After a steamy night of passion on his last night before boarding the superyacht, he is surprised to find out exactly who he will be on board with in pretty close proximity. Skylar and Landon agree to keep things professional as they are working together, but the chemistry and their attraction to one another is difficult to control.
With Landon doing some secret investigative work about the powerful man chartering the yacht, and the same man showing a certain amount of interest in Skylar, Landon needs to tread carefully. I loved how the couple developed a friendship and as a reader could really feel their connection.
With Skylar having insecurities about her life, having had a pretty rubbish start to life and being hurt in the past. Will she be able to let her walls down around Landon? Can there really be any hope for 2 so totally different people, especially when there are hidden secrets between them?
Overall I really loved this story. There was one part which really made me want to throw my kindle..... I just could not believe he did that!!! But it all added to the storyline, and the angst!
A wonderful must-read story from this fantastic author!
Another fab read by Louise Bay!
Such a good read. I couldn’t put it down!!
A one night stand, which doesn’t stay a one night stand. I loved reading about life aboard a luxury yacht, the characters were relatable and I found the story gripping. I can’t fault Louise Bay’s books, they’re enjoyable, easy reads and can’t wait for the next one.
