My reluctant readers loved this
Wow, my v. reluctant 4 and 6 year olds both happily skipped through this - the 6 year old really struggles with reading, but this was so simple - just the right level for him to be able to pick up speed, and he really enjoyed the feeling of getting through a lot of a pages quickly - very satisfying for him, made a change to the usual reading frustration. Reading on a tablet with words you can tap on and sound out is definitely the future - so much less tortuous (for all concerned!) than the paper based alternative.
Book review
I found this book extremely useful for those who are early readers or those struggling to learn sounds.
Working in a primary school with early readers and juniors who need additional help, I found this book a very good teaching aid. The interactive pages and accurate phonetic sounds keep them engaged and eager to continue reading.
This has been a fantastic teaching tool even using it with EAL children as the accurate sounds and bright colourful pages help them engage and encourage copying of sounds and words.
