Fantastic Start to New Series
When her sister is compromised, Persephone’s cash-strapped parents turn to her to restore their fortunes. Whilst as any young lady of the time Persephone knows it is her duty to get married, she doesn’t want it to be to a rake, she can think of nothing that will make her more unhappy. With her selfish parents adamant that she is to marry the duke they have found for her and be grateful, she does what any self-respecting woman would do and runs… And so begins this story! Interesting characters and two groups of friends, one rakes and the other a group of women determined to avoid rogues at any cost.
