Great read
Having read Bravo Two Zero, I actually think this is a better book, that’s not to take anything away from the other title, I just prefer this.
This book covers the period from when Andy joined the Army up to the beginning of Bravo Two Zero, including time in the regular Army, training for selection, selection, Regimental training and early ops with the regiment.
There’s happiness, sadness and Andy doesn’t hold back the hard parts, there are some real laugh out loud moments, I defy anyone not to laugh at the tree clearing in Belize.
All in all a great read, I’ve read it numerous times and never get bored of it. Thoroughly recommend.
